Power: the ability to do something or act in a particular way, especially as a faculty or quality .(Defined by the Oxford languages) which is all of people wants it(including me!), but it takes a big responsibility to use it. Like a Spiderman's famous quote says "With great power comes great responsibility." I feel interesting with those terms and topics, but it is too hard and boring to read about only information journals or articles. So, I want to introduce new learning and researching skills about your unknow terms!

In recent days, I feel interested in power and privileage of groups and different countries. I learned some power and privielage in humanity and L&L classes. Especially, when I progress an assignment and research for humanity class. I feel lot of interesting how each countries and groups show power and privileage. But, only read the documents and boring historian books about the real accidents was bored. I feel bored with this informative, but boring reading element. From that time, In L&L class I get the books that called "Maus" by Art Spieglman. (if you want to read it there is a link to buy it!: https://www.amazon.com/Complete-Maus-Art-Spiegelman/dp/0679406417)

It is a book that talked about the power and privilage of Jews and Nazi. It is a graphic novel. It was totally shocked to me. Until now, way of studying new terms or concept of topic was only memorized meaning of words and concept. Or reading an informative or long word essay that about word or topic.(Which every students don't like!) But, this novel, makes me understand the concept of power and privileage easy and fun! Also, I can memorize the concept easier, I am being like the main chracter of the novel and it makes me focus on the book. From focus of the book, I can understand the concept of the book, which is meaning of word that I want to Learn.

After those experiences, I start to founding books that talk about power and privilage and dystopian world for further understanding. During the research, (It was hard, but fun times!) Ms. B, who is my english teacher recommends the book called "Little Brother." It is fit to my recent interesting concept, so I feel interesting about this book. I read a book and this book was great chance to get my interesting concept. There was lot of points of power and privileage. (This could be a little spolier, if you want to read this book, you don't need to read few sentences!) In the books, main chracter "I", who is little high school boy gets lot of power and privilage and he feels unequal things with arrest as the prosioner of United States.

From those books I learn different things with "Maus" and this books I understnad more deeply and different perspective of main chracter. Also this book is more detaily information with text than Maus, which is graphic novel. But, this book is written as fully text, so it can provide more detail description as text. Which can gives more understanding to me about power and privileage with detail example and explnation in 1st people form of writing, which makes me fully focus to chracter's situation. Except the explanation, this novel was preety intersting and fun to read. This is novel that not based on real facts, so Cory Doctorow, who is author of little brother can makes the interesting stories and plows that makes audiences feel interesting, but it still based on concept that I want to learn, so we can get the information and fun with reading novel to learn concept! Isn't it interesting? Now, we can learn new concept or words with fun novel! (Woo Hoo!)

What makes students didn't read novel to learn new concept of words?

Study with novel is not a familar way to students. Then we can ask it "Why all of the students are not using the way of study with novel, even though it is a effective and fun way to study?" Then I can answered it "Most of students think education should be strict and not easy to achieve it." Students think study should be formal, which means reading all of the essay or journals. it makes students bored and exhausted from the thousand of words in them. I admit usefulness of those inoformative journals and it is preety good to study new terms from school or concept. But, if you read a novel, you can learn easier and funnier with stories example. Like I understand the concept of power and privileage deeper with Little Brother. But, most of students and parents think reading a extended or informatve essay is more effective way to study than reading novel. They think education should be reading and memorizing the concept of word. Which makes students feel hard and far away with the study. Why? because students only read informative journals. They study with only killing 1 bird with 1 stone. Maybe, if the student reads informative journals, but if he don't understand in those hard words or not focus because of lack of interesting, then it is the fail to catch birds and lose stone too. They feel bored, but they didn't learn anything.

I hope you find proper balance of informative journals and novel to learn yourself and increase your academic level!
